Welcome to "Cook Around the Globe"!
At first, I had wanted to create a monthly event, where I (and anyone interested) would prepare one dish from a chosen country (or group of countries) and then do a link up for all the recipes. However, I very soon realized that I could not just prepare a single recipe from the chosen region. As soon as I start looking into the cuisines for each month, I find so many dishes I want to try. So, this "event" rather turned into a project - a big project. At the beginning of each month I will still send an announcement with the chosen region/countries for that month. Everybody is welcome to join and prepare a dish from that region. At the 1st day of the following months, I will host a link up on my blog where I will link all the dishes I prepared from that region. You are welcome to link up as many recipes/dish from the chosen region (whether prepared during that months or older posts) as you like. I am really having fun exploring different cuisines each months and at the end (after 3 years), I will have one or two months where I am will try my hand at creating my own fusion cuisine. I am already jotting down some ideas for dishes I want to create.
