Stir-Fried Zucchini with Sesame Pasta

It's definitely zucchini season, so here is another recipe. Very simple and very quick.

2-4 tbsp sesame oil
2 medium zucchini, halved lengthwise, then sliced 1 inch thick
2 medium yellow squash, halved lengthwise, then sliced 1 inch thick
3-4 cloves garlic, smashed
3-4 small tomatoes, halved, seeded, and sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
hot sauce (e.g. Frank's RedHot, Tabasco, Sambal oelek)
10 ounces short pasta
1-2 tbsp sesame seeds

Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add zucchini, salt lightly, and cook for 8-10 minutes until nicely browned, stirring often. Push to the edges of the skillet. Add tomatoes and garlic to the center of the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes. Mix with the zucchini and season to taste with soy sauce and hot sauce. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted water as per instructions. Drain, place back in pot, and add remaining oil and sesame seeds. Serve pasta together with zucchini.
